2018 – Week 12 Picks - Jacknife Sports

Last week was pretty mundane as there were very few upsets. But that's not good for the people picking games. You are banking on a few upsets with your picks, and when they don't happen it throws you off. So it was a pretty mediocre week for everyone. (Travis - 10-5 SU, 6-8-1 ATS. Allan - 11-4, 6-8-1. Kyle - 8-7, 6-8-1.)

Last week was very tame. So tame in fact, that the top 10 of the College Football Playoff rankings remained exactly the same. That also means UCF has still not broken into the top 10 despite their undefeated record. They get to play a top 25 team this week against Cincinnati. It has actually been made the ABC primetime game. They need to have a good showing in addition to getting a quality win.

It's the annual cupcake week for the SEC. So there is a dearth of quality matchups. Only a few games between ranked foes. Notre Dame takes on a tricky Syracuse team. Syracuse almost knocked off Clemson earlier in the year and now are looking to ruin Notre Dame's Playoff dreams. As mentioned above, Cincinnati takes on UCF in a Power 6 game. And Iowa State travels to Texas. Big 12 has been a strange land this year with surprising results. Not sure what we will see out of this game.

We are in the home stretch. Only a couple weeks between now and the conference championship games.
